Race Ready Truck RTR Rovan BLT360 1/5 Scale Short Course 36CC Blue

Race Ready Truck Overview – Rovan BLT360

The Race Ready Truck RTR Rovan BLT360 delivers true 1/5 scale gasoline performance with a proven 36cc platform and a purpose built short course design. From the first pull, this Race Ready Truck produces strong acceleration, predictable handling, and realistic large scale presence. As a result, drivers gain confidence at speed, while the chassis stays stable on rough terrain. In addition, the BLT360 balances raw power with durability, making it a reliable choice for aggressive driving.

Race Ready Truck Performance and Core Specifications

This Race Ready Truck uses a 36cc four point fixed gasoline engine paired with a heavy duty drivetrain designed for sustained use. Moreover, the Dominator side exhaust improves throttle response while delivering a powerful exhaust tone. At the same time, the 8000 RPM wear resistant clutch engages smoothly and protects drivetrain components. Because the truck carries an 800cc fuel tank, run times remain long and consistent during extended sessions.

Race Ready Truck Handling and Chassis Design

The Rovan BLT360 combines its large footprint with controlled suspension geometry. Because the 5mm CNC aluminum chassis limits flex, the suspension works more efficiently under load. Furthermore, front and rear anti roll bars reduce body movement during acceleration and cornering. As a result, the Race Ready Truck tracks straighter, absorbs impacts more effectively, and remains predictable at speed.

Assembly and Operation – Race Ready Truck

Out of the Box: Ready to race once the wheels are installed and the car battery has been charged. A minimum two hour charge is recommended before the first run.

Battery Charging

The truck includes an integrated charging plug and USB charger, so no disassembly is required. After charging, allow the battery to cool for thirty minutes before operation. Then, remove the charger within thirty minutes of the green light to protect battery life. Additionally, store the battery fully charged when not in use. Crash Durability

Minor crashes rarely cause significant damage. Instead, the Race Ready Truck absorbs impacts and continues operating reliably, even during aggressive off road use.

Fuel Mixing – Race Ready Truck

Use a 25:1 gasoline to oil ratio, which equals 151.4ml per gallon. First, fill the oil side of the mixing jug to the 25:1 line. Next, fill the gasoline side to the same level. Use non synthetic mineral based two cycle oil. In particular, Evinrude Johnson Premium TC-W3 Mineral 2 Cycle Oil, UPC 745419363093, has produced excellent results. This oil reduces carbon buildup and helps prevent plug fouling. However, other high quality brands may also be used.

Radio System

Although the radio offers six channels, this Race Ready Truck primarily uses two. Trim adjustments are located under the rear radio cover. Specifically, the top left controls steering trim, the top right adjusts throttle and brake trim, the bottom left sets steering travel, and the bottom right controls throttle range. As a result, fine tuning remains quick and straightforward.

Starting Instructions

Ensure the car and radio are powered on and responding.
Then set the choke on the right side of the carburetor to the vertical closed position.
Next, press the primer bulb three to four times, or until fuel becomes visible.
After that, pull the starter rope gently until it engages, then use short, quick pulls.
Crank until the engine fires, which usually occurs within one to three pulls.
Once it fires, turn off the choke and pull the rope one to two times to start the engine.
Never crank more than three times with the choke on. Refer to https://shorturl.at/RJv1I.

Break In Process – Race Ready Truck

Initial Run: Run the engine at idle to one quarter throttle for about five minutes. Then allow the engine to cool completely.
Second Run: Repeat the process for ten minutes and allow full cool down.
Third Run: Gradually increase throttle while limiting run time to eight to ten minutes, then cool completely.
Subsequent Runs: Continue this cycle for approximately five runs while keeping debris clear of the cooling system. Because a clean engine runs cooler, reliability improves.
Final Break In: After completion, operate the Race Ready Truck at full throttle and run through an entire tank of fuel.
Post Break In: Check and snug the exhaust fasteners. Before each run, inspect bolts throughout the vehicle. Use thread locker on clutch and brake assembly bolts, and clean threads with alcohol before application.

Plastic Versus Aluminum Components

You may consider replacing plastic parts with aluminum. However, aluminum does not flex and often transfers impact forces to surrounding components. In contrast, high strength ABS plastic absorbs impacts and rebounds without damage. For this reason, many plastic components perform better in off road conditions.
