  Powerful 29cc Gasoline Engine

  Equipped with a 29cc single-cylinder air-cooled two-stroke gasoline engine, this rc buggy offers explosive acceleration and dependable performance. Fuel mixing is straightforward at a 25:1 gasoline-to-oil ratio. Using mineral-based 2-cycle oil, such as Evinrude Johnson Premium TC-W3, ensures minimal carbon buildup and protects the spark plug from fouling. This engine provides the perfect balance between power and longevity for 1/5 scale racing.

  Engine Break-In Process

  To maintain engine reliability, follow a structured break-in procedure:

  • Initial Run: Operate at idle to 1/4 throttle for 5 minutes, then allow the engine to cool completely.

  • Second Run: Extend the throttle slightly for 10 minutes, cool down afterward.

  • Subsequent Runs: Gradually increase duration and intensity over five runs, monitoring engine temperature and cooling.

  • Final Run: After proper break-in, full-throttle runs are safe. Always recheck exhaust and bolts after the initial break-in.

  Advanced Suspension and Tires

  The Rovan 5B RC buggy features reinforced front and rear suspensions with 0.24″ plastic shock absorbers. Second-generation wasteland tires provide excellent traction, ensuring the rc buggy handles tight turns and off-road conditions with confidence. Anti-roll bars and a metal differential enhance stability during jumps and sharp maneuvers.

  Radio, Controls, and Operation

  Included is a 6-channel RC-X6 radio, primarily using two channels for throttle and steering. Adjust trims under the rear cover:

  • Top Left: Steering trim

  • Top Right: Throttle & brake trim

  • Bottom Left: Steering extent

  • Bottom Right: Throttle extent

  The battery charges easily via the built-in plug and USB charger. Allow 30 minutes to cool after full charge. Out-of-the-box, this rc buggy is ready to race after installing wheels and charging the battery for at least 2 hours.
