Rovan Baja 5S 36CC 1/5 Scale 4WD Gasoline Buggy Green
Rovan Baja 5S Overview and Performance
The Rovan Baja 5S delivers 1/5 scale RC performance with powerful durability and precise handling. Powered by a Genuine 36cc air cooled two-stroke engine with Walbro 1107 carburetor and NGK spark plug, the Rovan Baja 5S provides reliable throttle response and strong torque for off-road driving. This 4WD buggy is engineered for strength, stability, and consistent large-scale RC performance.
Rovan Baja 5S Chassis and Drivetrain
The Rovan Baja 5S features a CNC integrated aluminum alloy chassis with a 4WD shaft driven transmission system. Metal differentials, CNC differential housings, central disc brake system, CNC clutch bracket, CNC shock supports, and 8mm heavy duty shocks handle aggressive driving while maintaining stability and control.

Assembly and Operation of the Rovan Baja 5S
Out of the box, the buggy is nearly ready to run. Install wheels and charge the battery for at least 2 hours. The built-in charging plug and USB charger allow easy battery management. Allow battery to cool 30 minutes after charging and remove the charger within 30 minutes of green light.
Crash Durability and Engine Reliability
The Rovan Baja 5S is designed to handle normal off-road impacts. High-strength ABS flexes to absorb shocks and protect critical components. Use a 25:1 gasoline-to-oil ratio with mineral-based TC-W3 oil to minimize plug fouling and carbon buildup.
Radio Trim and Starting Instructions
Although the radio is 6-channel, only two channels are used. Steering and throttle trims are under the rear radio cover. To start, power on the buggy and radio, set the choke vertical, prime 3–4 times, and pull the starter rope firmly until it fires. Turn off the choke and restart as needed.
Engine Break-In Process
Run at light throttle and allow cooling between cycles. Gradually increase performance through several runs. After break-in, full power operation is safe. Check and tighten exhaust bolts after the break-in process.
Maintenance and Upgrade Guidance
Check bolts before each run. Use Loctite on clutch and brake fasteners after cleaning with alcohol. Avoid replacing plastic components with aluminum; ABS flexes and absorbs impact, while aluminum can damage surrounding parts.
