    • Assembly and Operation:
    • Out of the Box: Ready to race once the wheels are installed and the car battery has been charged. Minimum 2 hours charge recommended.
    • Battery Charging: The car features a charging plug and comes with a USB charger. No disassembly required for charging. Allow battery to cool down for 30 minutes after full charge before operation. Remove charger within 30 minutes of full charge (green light) to prolong battery life. Store battery fully charged. (we use a count down timer like item 386419780550 on ours.)
    • Crash Durability: Minor crashes are unlikely to cause significant damage.
    • Fuel Mixing: Uses a 25:1 gasoline-to-oil ratio (151.4ml per gallon). Fill the small compartment of the mixing jug to the 25:1 line with oil, then fill the gas compartment to the 25:1 line. Use Non-synthetic aka Mineral Based 2 cycle oil. We’ve had great results with Evinrude Johnson Premium TC-W3 Mineral 2 Cycle Oil, UPC 745419363093 Avaliable at Walmart in 1-gallon or 16oz, which minimizes carbon buildup and avoids plug fouling. Other brands can also be used.
    • Radio: This 6 channel radio essentially only uses 2 channels with this car. Trim is on the 4 adjustments under the cover on the back of the radio. Top left – steering trim, top right – throttle & brake trim, bottom left – steering control extents, bottom right – throttle control extents.

Starting Instructions:

    1. Ensure the car and radio are powered on and responding.
    2. Set the choke on the right side of the car (red lever on the carburetor) to the vertical closed position.
    3. Press the primer bulb on top of the carburetor 3 to 4 times, or once fuel is visible.
    4. Gently pull the starter rope until it engages, then pull swiftly. Do not pull the rope out completely; use short quick pulls.
    5. Crank until the engine fires (usually 1 to 3 pulls).
    6. Turn off the choke, then pull the rope 1 or 2 times to start the engine.

Break-In Process:

    1. Initial Run: Start by running the car at idle to 1/4 throttle or less for about 5 minutes. Let the engine cool down completely after this run.
    2. Second Run: Repeat the same process less for 10 minutes, then allow it to cool down.
    3. Third Run: You can start pushing it a little harder, but keep in mind that a new engine generates more heat due to increased friction. Run for 8 to 10 minutes, then let it cool.
    4. Subsequent Runs: Continue the process for about five runs, being mindful of any debris that could block cooling. A clean engine runs cooler.
    5. Final Break-In: After these runs, you can run the car at full throttle and let it burn through an entire tank of fuel.
    6. Post-Break-In: Be sure to check and snug up the exhaust pipe after the initial break-in process.
    7. Before each run check bolts throughout the car to ensure they are tight. Lock-tight is recommended on clutch and brake assembly bolts. clean bolts and holes with alcohol and a q-tip to ensure lock-tight adhesion.
  • You will be tempted to upgrade some of the parts to aluminum. But let me tell you, aluminum is unforgiving, breaks and destroys everything behind it. The High Strength ABS Plastic will give and bounce back without damage. Many plastic components are way better.
