The Rofun A5 delivers a true 1/5 scale gasoline asphalt platform built for speed, stability, and mechanical realism. This ready-to-run model uses a 32cc single-cylinder air-cooled two-stroke engine with a four-point fixed mount. As a result, the Rofun A5 provides strong acceleration, consistent throttle response, and reliable high-RPM performance on paved surfaces.
Rofun builds this model as a genuine high-strength Grade A platform, not factory seconds or older stock. Therefore, chassis rigidity, drivetrain alignment, and suspension geometry remain consistent during aggressive street driving. The clear unpainted body allows full custom finishing while preserving the aerodynamic supercar profile.
Chassis, Drivetrain, and Suspension – Rofun A5
The Rofun A5 uses a rigid 1/5 scale chassis designed for asphalt stability and predictable handling. In addition, the rear-wheel-drive layout with rear-axle braking delivers controlled stopping power and smooth power transfer.
Metal drivetrain components and a reinforced differential support sustained high-torque operation. As a result, driveline reliability remains stable during extended high-speed runs. Shock absorbers manage weight transfer effectively, and therefore the car maintains balanced corner entry and exit.
Engine and Exhaust Performance – Rofun A5
At the core of the Rofun A5 sits a 32cc single-cylinder air-cooled two-stroke gasoline engine. The four-bolt fixed mount improves alignment and reduces vibration. Consequently, throttle response remains smooth and predictable across the power band.
The tuned exhaust supports efficient heat management. Therefore, operating temperatures remain controlled during long asphalt sessions, while acceleration stays consistent at higher RPM.
Electronics, Radio System, and Power
The Rofun A5 includes a 2.4G radio system with reliable signal performance and responsive control. Steering uses a high-torque metal-gear servo, while throttle and braking rely on a dedicated metal-gear unit. As a result, steering precision and braking authority remain stable under load.
An onboard SC6V 2000mAh battery supplies consistent runtime. In addition, the included USB charging system allows simple charging without removing the battery.
Assembly and Operation – Rofun A5
Out of the Box
Ready to race once the wheels are installed and the battery is fully charged. A minimum two-hour charge is recommended before first use.
Battery Charging
The integrated charging plug allows charging without disassembly. Allow the battery to cool for 30 minutes after a full charge. Remove the charger within 30 minutes of reaching full charge and store the battery fully charged when not in use.
Crash Durability
Minor crashes rarely cause significant damage. The reinforced chassis and suspension absorb impact effectively during normal street driving.
Fuel Mixing – Rofun A5
Use a 25:1 gasoline-to-oil ratio, equal to 151.4 ml of oil per gallon of gasoline. First, fill the oil chamber of the mixing jug to the 25:1 mark. Then, fill the gasoline chamber to the same level. Use non-synthetic mineral-based two-cycle oil for best results. Therefore, carbon buildup remains low and plug fouling stays minimal.
Starting Instructions
Ensure the car and radio power on and respond correctly.
Set the choke to the vertical closed position.
Prime the carburetor three to four times, or until fuel becomes visible.
Pull the starter gently until engagement, then use short quick pulls.
Once the engine fires, turn off the choke and pull again to start.
Never crank more than three times with the choke engaged.
Break-In Process – Rofun A5
Initial Run
Run at idle to one-quarter throttle for five minutes, then allow full cool-down.
Second Run
Repeat for ten minutes, then cool completely.
Third Run
Increase throttle slightly and run for eight to ten minutes, then cool.
Subsequent Runs
Continue for about five cycles while monitoring airflow and debris.
Final Break-In
Run at full throttle and burn through one full tank of fuel.
Post-Break-In
Check and snug the exhaust fasteners and inspect all hardware.
Before each run, inspect all bolts and fasteners. Apply thread locker to clutch and brake hardware after cleaning threads with alcohol.
Materials and Performance Notes – Rofun A5
The Rofun A5 combines reinforced ABS plastic and metal components to balance strength and controlled flex. In addition, plastic components absorb impact energy instead of transferring damage through the chassis. Therefore, durability improves during high-speed street use.
Avoid aluminum upgrades in high-impact zones. Aluminum transfers force and can cause secondary failures behind the impact point.
